I am an Asian-American college student majoring in Technical Communications at the University of Washington. My Spring Quarter 05 Schedule: posTComm, TC 403, TC 407, ARCH 251, ESS 495.
All I need to do is find a PAID summer internship and I'm set!
Super quick blog...I have some stuff to take care of tomorrow, school-related and I need to get some sleep, but I'm listening to Audio Adrenaline's "Good Life" first as a form of relaxation and getting focused. :( Diane got to see Matrix Reloaded and I didn't because of my school-related stuff. :) but hey, maybe this means that I'll get to see it sometime with Dan! That'd make waiting way worth it. I love sleep. Although it seems to be low on the priority list, it's sometimes the best part of my day, that 1/2 hour when I crawl into bed, pray, and drift off to sleep.

I am not safe anywhere in Chemistry. I sat in the middle row in the middle seat and my prof decided to pick my row to walk across with a vat of tinted water with a bunch of dry ice in it. All these people around me threw more dry ice into the vat. After that, he made some acid rain but unlike all the other demonstrations of this I've seen, he didn't cap the container so everyone in the first few rows were exposed to sulfuric acid gas which causes "burning eyes, headaches, sore throats and white-colored burns on their lips, tongues and insides of their mouths. Earlier this year, a federal report said the sulfuric clouds were not life-threatening but were harmful to those with asthma." (article) Then, a student in the front row casually pointed out that a piece of the carpet was on fire, so the prof stomped it out, then poured some acidic Al(H20)6Cl3 to put it out. A few minutes later, another front row student was like, oh, I think your desk is on fire too. It was a piece of the sulfur that was burning. So he pours more acid on it to put it out. What happened to safety in the classrooms?

Cool. I just finished reading about Daniel and the Lion's Den (Daniel 6). Since I happen to have this picture lying about, I thought it'd be a good illustration.
