I am an Asian-American college student majoring in Technical Communications at the University of Washington. My Spring Quarter 05 Schedule: posTComm, TC 403, TC 407, ARCH 251, ESS 495.
All I need to do is find a PAID summer internship and I'm set!
Actually, now that I've finally updated my top 10 list, I realized that there is something else that I REALLY want right now and it's at this website: BelieveInPeace. It's the Nalgene water bottles in the pretty colors with "May Peace Prevail on Earth" printed in 13 languages. It's so beautiful...and useful! BUT ARGGG!! The stupid website doesn't work at all. It's very simple, I give you money, you give me water bottle. But my second choice would be an awesome Nalgene water bottle from Powells.com. They are so awesome, I can't decide which one I want though! I know about them because my friend Rachel has the Literature one, which is super cool, but I don't want to be a copy cat. So the only other two (reasonable) choices are the Physics or Philosophy ones. The Physics one is cool because it's grayish silver, but....I don't know if after a while looking at something so nerdy will get to me and I'll hate it. Physics was interesting, but mostly a large pain in the rear which persisted for two quarters straight. The kind of cool thing is that I've heard of all of the names on the Physics bottle except for Feynman, whom even though I've Googled him, is still a mystery. I believe he is some kind of teacher and has also won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965 for "for fundamental work in quantum electrodynamics, with deep-ploughing consequences for the physics of elementary particles." Oookay....

I am sadly very behind on politics and how the nation is doing recently, but I've heard a few clips here and there, and it's pretty messed up huh? I just finished watching a 45 minute online streaming of Al Gore's speech to MoveOn.org about recent events and the Bush Administration, and it damn well sounds like to me that there's a lot of truth in it. To listen for yourself and get a clue here's the link to the vid: Al Gore's Speech and if you want to know more about the organization, check it out: MoveOn.org. The vid is a little laggy at first but for me, it got better after a few minutes when the unimportant people are talking. One of the best speeches I've heard in quite a while.

Oh yeah baby, finally I've finished watching all of the Scrub vids that I have on my computer. It's seriously a great show. Also, check out this rad article in Time Magazine about First Aid. A MUST for all you accident-prone people out there (YES, I'm talking to YOU).

So yesterday was the 2 year mark for Dan and me :). The actual celebration will be on Saturday, because of work and no time or energy. In the meantime, here's the cutest picture of us which was taken at Dan's Grandparents' 50th Anniversary bash on Sunday.
FINALLY!! My template is finally updated. Pictures of the Tawainese Gospel Singers are up. Sorely disappointed that I didn't get to spend much actual time with Dan today. I mean, I went to Bethel with him as I usually always do, and then afterwards after eating lunch at his house, we went to his Grandparents 50th Anniversary bash, which was a lot of grinning, shaking hands and eating meat and cheese and cake. Didn't get to spend the rest of the night with him either because of his church homework. Even more saddened because I didn't get to spend all day Saturday like I thought I was going to because of actual PNNL work, he had to work 10 hours to meet deadlines on a presentation. And it looks like next Saturday is going to be the next time we'll get actual time together. I just feel like bitching about it. I don't resent the fact that he has responsiblities and is mature enough to not shirk them for me, nor is there anything that I can do about it, well yeah, I think I could definitely be a better sport about it, but keeping my mouth shut and not whining excessively is hard enough. And on top of it all, I have lost my contacts. I can't find any boxes of new contacts (and I'm not even sure if I have any more) so I have to make do with my not extremely poor vision for a while until I can muster up the time to go to Wal-Mart and get them ordered. Also, as promised, a few questions (not all) from the "Are You a Nerd Test":
1) Has anyone ever called you a nerd?
2) Did you skip a grade in elementary school?
3) Was your SAT math score 600 or more?
6) Did you letter in high school for academics or band?
7) Did you have your first drink on your 21st birthday?
11) Have you ever owned a Star Trek uniform?
13) Do you have a blog? <---I'm NOT kidding
14) Do you expect strangers to read your blog? <---Doubly NOT kidding
15) Do you know what planet Wookies are from?
16) Did you notice that Wookiee was mispelled in the last question?
17) Do you know at least one of these languages?: perl, COBOL, C, C+, C++, FORTRAN.
19) Do you own a fanny pack or a pocket protector?
20) Have you ever hung out at a Radio Shack?
21) Do you consider chess a sport?
22) Can you name over a dozen Simpsons characters?
24) Do you know Avogadro's number?
25) Have you ever MUDed?
27) Have you ever worn glasses that change color outdoors?
29) Have you ever owned a ferret, tarantula, or marmot?
30) Have you ever told a joke about chemistry or physics?
32) Is your IQ constant to your weight in the same ratio as your eyeglass prescription over pi?
33) Did you actually try, even for a moment, to calculate the answer to that question?
;) and the scoring goes something like this
1-10% = Liar
11-35% = Nerd wannabe
36-60% = Too nerdy to be cool, too cool to be a nerd
61-85% = Your everyday nerd
86-100% = Ubernerd!
