I am an Asian-American college student majoring in Technical Communications at the University of Washington. My Spring Quarter 05 Schedule: posTComm, TC 403, TC 407, ARCH 251, ESS 495.
All I need to do is find a PAID summer internship and I'm set!
Your love is amazing, steady and unchanging
Your love is a mountain, firm beneath my feet
Your love is a mystery, how You gently lift me
When I am surrounded, Your love carries me
Chorus:
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Your love makes me sing
(repeat)
Your love is surprising, I can feel it rising
All the joy that’s growing deep inside of me
Every time I see You, all Your goodness shines through
I can feel this God song, rising up in me
chorus
I've had a few jumbled up lyrics of this song stuck (or rather kept) in my head for the last two days or so and I love it. The .mp3 that I have linked is really kicking.
:( Sadly, I think I'll have to take down passing the Chinese test for a while. I don't think I'll be able to pass it without the second book and since Megan's going back to school in 2 weeks, that is certainly not enough time. So my plan is to buy the books for myself when I go back and study during the year and during the summer and pass it next year. Today was a hard day, both work-wise and personally (I lost my left contact...AGAIN, and had to go to Wal-Mart and ask for another one), but my mom, my brother and I went to JCPenny and bought clothes. I got a nice hoodie type of sweater but without the hood, and an orange thermal shirt for when it gets cold up at UW. And then we went to Arby's and bought food. Ahhh, nothing like shopping and eating junk food to calm the nerves. :D

Wow, so Dan, Dan's friend Danny, and I watched The Ten Commandments, and instead of crossing it off my list, I'm immediately changing it into a Nalgene water bottle. *drool* yes...I want one so bad. They're the coolest, sure, about 60% of U-Dubbers lug them around, but so what? Mine'll be special. I also managed to kick both of their butts at pool. We played the 3 person 'Cutthroat' / Elimination type of pool and we must have played at least 4 or 5 games and guess who won all of them ;). Contacts make a big difference. They were both being super mean to me too, whenever I was going to make a shot, they would strut around and make farting noises and squeek the chairs and make all sorts of distractions and it worked a few times too. Obviously not enough though LOL! Yeah, I've been feeling especially arrogant today, it's amazing how amusing it is after 19 years of Asian Humbleness, i.e. koutou-ing. Not literally of course, I've only really done it when I was younger and in Singapore with my Grandmother and was visiting temples with her. They had special fluffy kneeling pads and a cushioned head mat in front of their idols; it was just too strange to pass up trying it out. Not like I'm endorsing idol worship, lol, far from it, but there are few things that you can experience that will make you feel just plain silly and weirded out. They have tons of these idols in a temple, all different gods and they're all behind glass. Why settle for koutou-ing to a metallic idol behind glass when you can fellowship with the Living God? Sometimes Free Will is a strange strange thing.
