I am an Asian-American college student majoring in Technical Communications at the University of Washington. My Spring Quarter 05 Schedule: posTComm, TC 403, TC 407, ARCH 251, ESS 495.
All I need to do is find a PAID summer internship and I'm set!
finite being 2: it's weird how sometimes I can be totally like, yeah, of course you love me, I'm really cool, and then other times be all like, huh? I don't really see any reasons
finite being 2: it's such a rollercoaster
ChristsKnight21: LOL!!! Ok. Remember ONE thing, and I mean this
ChristsKnight21: There are always reasons to love you, even if you don't see them.
ChristsKnight21: But above all, the core reason and the foundational reason is Jesus' love for you. And that's how you know; even when there really is no reason to love you, He still does. And so will I. And that's security.
I am continually amazed.
A quick rundown of my Labor Day Weekend, :D happily, I got to see Dan on Friday, then super early in the morning on Saturday my family left to meet with my mom's friend and her family who has a son named Daniel at 6 AM, so I woke up at 5:40 AM. I helped drive for like 4-5 hours. Then we went to this tourist place where you can walk across this suspension bridge, then we went to this fancy seafood resturant where apparently there are wedding receptions nearly every day, and that day was no exception. The bride looked beautiful and she asked me what time it was lol. Then it was off to the Asian Night Market where I was forced to bargain but got a few cute items, like a lovely bracelet. The next day, we drove to the ferries and drove our car onto it. It took 90 minutes to ferry us and our car to Victoria where we drove to Butchart Gardens, walked around, took lots of pictures and managed to miss a ferry, they leave once per hour so we sat in the car in line and ate lunch. The rest of the day was spent shopping at Asian malls and then at the Night Market again. Monday was spent driving home and also shopping in Seattle Asian supermarkets and of course the 99 Ranch Market...what trip to Seattle is complete without that? Then, instead of going straight to bed because I was exausted from driving home, I IM for like an hour.
I read the newest Time Magazine today, wow, it's so depressing, everything that's going on. MoveOn.org says that the California election is stupid and defacing democracy, Iraq is in huge turmoil and it looks like there's going to be a lot of jihad going on. Not to mention we're still paranoid and have let things like the Patriot Act slip by practically uncontested. It's all just so messed up. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
One bittersweet thing though, I got my Physics water bottle in the mail! The bitter part is that some of the white writing on the outside is already a little scratched! :(
While I was waiting in the lab for a tip to sonicate I thought this up:
How to Tell if You're a Lab Brat
1. You know what dd stands for.
2. You know what Kimwipes are AND what color of box they come in.
3. You know that Nalgene does not exist solely to produce bright colored water bottles: 4. You know what someone means when they say, “Hey, hand me the P2 will you?”
5. You know what those big white pills are for.
6. You use a GlueStick at least once a week.
7. You have several protocols memorized.
Yeah, I know there should be a lot more but I ran out at the moment. Diane?

Whoo, I am so exausted from my Labor Day trip to Vancouver BC. I need to recover from that. I have a ton of awesome very Asian pictures though, but I am so sick of Asian-ness. Asian sea food, Asian bargaining, Asians yakking loudly, Asian supermarkets... the list goes on. When I am more rested I'll put up some cool links to vid clips that I took with my camera and add another photo album to Fifi on Film. Seems like everyone's getting back into the IM swing of things, as the beginning of another year at UW starts, the IM frenzy picks up pace.
