I am an Asian-American college student majoring in Technical Communications at the University of Washington. My Spring Quarter 05 Schedule: posTComm, TC 403, TC 407, ARCH 251, ESS 495.
All I need to do is find a PAID summer internship and I'm set!
When it is raining hard outside and you're walking on the sidewalk, ALWAYS walk on the side furthest away from the street...:(. My shins caught a wave from a passing car. And man, my hands are sore from playing Halo for a couple hours. Had to break hurriedly in the middle to eat some EasyMac as a dinner lol, so this is what video games do to you...like Steve said, he could probably get to sleep every night at 7 if he didn't play CS. Which is BS. Maybe he could get to bed every night at 7 if
1) He wanted to.
2) His computer was broken.
3) He lived by himself and we were all out of town and didn't have our cell phones.
I'm sorry I'm blogging so much about CS, but at least I'm not like Diane, who sadly claims that she dreams that she's programming or doing math at least once a month. But I was studing for the CSE 142 midterm on Monday and came across one of those, do all this stuff and then at the bottom it tells you what you were thinking of. I actually read the footnote beforehand, but then when I went through it, thought of the same thing...freaky. Here we go!
Problem 0.9
Consider the following algorithm:
1. Pick a number between 1 and 10.
2. Multiply it by 9.
3. If the result has more than one digit, add the digits together.
4. If the number is greater than 5, subtract 5.
5. Find the corresponding letter of the alphabet: 1=a, 2=b, etc.
6. Think of a country that begins with that letter.
7. Get the last letter of of that country.
8. Think of an animal that begins with that letter.
9. Get the last letter of that animal.
10. Think of a fruit that begins with that letter.
11. Read footnote at the bottom of the page. *since this is plagerized from the book, I would suggest you comment what you thought of, and everyone can read each other's comments and try to see what the 'real' fruit is.

Wow...so the poll you see on the left there, it's been up for a really really long time, and it has 50 votes now. Apparently no one likes the Rockwell Kiss. Oh, and I forgot to post a few days ago and 'celebrate' the one year mark for this blog...typical huh? It was Jan. 24th. Ah, I did post on that day...at 4 in the morning. Great post. So yeah, woohoo, here's to the next great year!
Let's try for another 3 minute poem shall we?

*drools* -glazed eyes-
half crumpled shell sits in front of the computer
you think there's no life
but the fingers
they FLY.
Yay!! I got my cell phone in the mail today. Here's what it looks like: Sanyo SCP-8100. I have Sprint and I'm pretty happy with it so far.
Well, my partner will be here in about an hour. I think I should clean the room (again). Read some Bio. Be productive. Stop messing with my phone ;).

Spent 3 hours straight programming with my partner for the CS project, it picked up quite a bit after the first 1/2 hour of stumbling around. It was basically like, so I have no idea what's going on or what to do now....yeah you too? Okay great. Let's just type some random BS. No, actually we mostly just stared really hard at the documentation and tried to copy as much as possible from the Skier Class. And wow, let me tell you, trying random crap really works. So does Mountain Dew. Thanks to all the people who helped me: Rachel, Josh, Kyle, Brandon, && Dan.
I dive back into the foray tomorrow.
Ryan punctured a can of Coke with his bare hands, and it just so happened that it was pointed right at him when he tore open a big gash in the side of the can and thanks to Emmett, the can was very pressured. Big explosion, and sadly, I didn't have the foresight to go get my camera. So no picture :'(

I'm going to start working on my CS project with my partner tomorrow...just a little nervous and hopefully she doesn't work too hard on the pre-thinking bit, but oh well. At least this motivated me to 'clean' my room a bit.
So much stuff to read! My Jewish Lit class is the hardest one so far. Because I'm constantly behind, and I feel so stupid in it because I don't freaking raise my hand to say something intelligent. GRRRR. I need to be more efficient in my reading. Like read faster.
And the stupid PNNL website is down!!!!!!!!! ARRRRGGGG, how am I supposed to check to see if Susan did her rec. letter for me or not? Man...how awful. But...she's the one that's supposed to hire me anyway... eh. Ironic.

Yup yup, like Christine posted on her blog, the CSA party was kickin'. The four of us dressed up and flaunted our Asian-ness. The acts were pretty interesting. Too bad I didn't bring my camera to it...even though it'd be a while until I got pictures up anyway. It was fun though, and I didn't go to bubble tea with them because it was just too cold to walk all the freaking way up the AVE, so I walked back with Ryan and Tian and ended up playing video games for the rest of the night. I'm getting better at Halo!!! :D!! But I don't know if Kyle was just being nice and letting me kill him easier, or if I'm actually improving. It was great fun though, lots of yelling and swearing, and blood splattered everywhere. :) Now, today is homework/catch up day. Going to try to finish my CS homework, do the reading and plan out how to do the project, and then read Jewish Lit. I always have many many pages of Jewish Lit to read. Never ending flow, AND I'm too scared sometimes to say something in the class. I feel really stupid and it makes me so mad that I can't just raise my freaking hand and say something. Everyone else sounds so good. And I open my mouth and say stupid things and of course it's always at the wrong time. But I still like the class. I also went shopping at Bartell Drugs and QFC at the U Village yesterday. Bought a 24 pack of Mountain Dew and lugged it all the way back here, up the hill and everything *beams*. I was going to go to Safeway too, but didn't think it'd be kosher to bring the Mountain Dew in there while I was shopping. Didn't want to look like I was stealing it/get charged twice for it.
Man, my room is such a mess. I feel really horrible. I haven't seen the bottom of the table for weeks. *sigh* I need to translate video game time into cleaning time.
