So I just made like a hundred cookies. And I'm not eating a single one because I'm not in the cookie mood...and they have nuts in them. Finished Snow Crash, which was an interesting book, not a favorite, but it definitely has some awesome liners in there. Still got that damn cough going on.

Watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind today. Seriously, Charlie Kaufman is the man. He can think of the most awesomely random realistic yet sci-fi messed upness and film it beautifully. I loved his Being John Malkovich, and although Adaptation wasn't really my thing, I enjoyed bits and pieces of it and basically, I just like the whole genre of messed up weirdly shot realistically strange movies, like American Beauty. So if anyone knows of a movie that reminds them of the ones that I've just listed, feel free to recommend them to me. :) However I hated Memento, not because of the way it was shot or anything like that, but just basically the entire story sucked to hell and was way creepy and way messed up. So yeah, stay away from recommending stuff like that to me.

Oh yeah! I did pretty good on the CS final, nearly 10 pts above the mean. Will probably end up getting at least a 3.5 in my Jewish Lit class so hopefully those two grades will balance out my bio grade which is looking like it's going to suck. W00t though, this quarter's ova! I had some good times talking to Jamey and Megan these last two days and getting them caught up. Looking forward to next quarter's schedule and classes, they don't look backbreaking and yeah, I'll have a lot of free time if I can be dilligent about getting the HW done.

In other news, I was debating whether or not to post this so openly or not, since it is private info, but it's so much a part of everything that it might as well be out. Take a seat please, you want to be sitting down for this bombshell. Dan and I broke up yesterday. At Starbucks, yes we saw it coming, yes it was amiable. We both kind of just feel like we're not ready, didn't really think it through and we want to grow up some more. I feel like I'm not ready to be chained down just yet. So I'm supposed to try the whole dating thing. I'll see how that goes. My parents took it pretty well too, although my mom and grandma are kind of sad about it and are getting on my back about it, it'll blow over. Can't wait to get back to UW though.

Ahhhhhh!! This is so painful. I have at least two more paragraphs to write in my Jewish Lit final paper, and then I can finally start cramming for CS. I don't want to take the final. I can already tell it's going to be painful since I tried doing the practice exam. Don't really get the sorting/searching crap. So instead I'm going to blog. Maybe this will be relaxing.

So what can I say? Blogs are ironic because it's prime breeding ground for busybodies and nosy people, depending on the content of the blog of course. Yet they're still intensely personal anyway and there are things which are frankly, none of your business. This is still my life and I'm taking it back from all of you. Support me, that's all I ask, want and need. Don't pretend to know, act normal until told otherwise. I may be a cherry blossom that is easily shattered by a puff of wind, but unlike snowflakes, my petals don't melt and disappear.

I need inspiration, I need to take a chill pill. I need more sleep, I need more time but at the same time I wish time would speed up. I know I'm a needy person. I know I'm high-maintanence. I have a lot of things that need to be changed, and yeah, it may seem like I've just gone off the deep end/went off my rocker/lost a few marbles/ate some fruity loops...etc. but seriously ya'll, it be cool. I'm still here, I'm still breathing, I don't need get well cards, I'm just doing a little spring cleaning. I'm still Feiya. I just have different priorities. 3rd Law of Motion...For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Things are in motion.

*cough* what have I done to deserve such hatred? Anyway, there were a couple flame posts on the tagboard today and I had to delete them. I'm thinking it's probably just some random person who read a snippet of my life and decided that he had some extra aggression to deal out. If whoever did it actually knows me, whoever it is, be a man and own up.

So the quarter is drawing to a close. Today is the first day of finals. I however, don't have any finals until Wednesday when I have a CS final and a Jewish Lit paper due. Sorry my blogs have been so infrequent and short lately! I've got too much on my mind to spill it out coherently. All will be back to normal during Spring Break or definitely shortly afterwards. The really crappy thing is that I've been sick since the weekend of Shalom...which was two weeks ago. I think I might have been able to get better sooner had I taken better care of myself but since it is the end of the quarter and all that, I haven't been helping my body much to fight off disease. Damn T-cells...

The Gospel Choir Concert which was a week ago, went really well. If you didn't make it, make sure to make next quarter's! Some crazy articles online...here's definitely one that I think will appeal to quite a large audience of this blog...Why Nerds Are Unpopular. Longish essay but man, it hits some awesome points. If you're too lazy to read it, I'll put three quotes that I think are great here:

Even if nerds cared as much as other kids about popularity, being popular would be more work for them. The popular kids learned to be popular, and to want to be popular, the same way the nerds learned to be smart, and to want to be smart: from their parents. While the nerds were being trained to get the right answers, the popular kids were being trained to please.

Adults don't normally persecute nerds. Why do teenage kids do it?

Partly it's because teenagers are still half children, and many children are just intrinsically cruel. Some torture nerds for the same reason they pull the legs off spiders. Before you develop a conscience, torture is amusing.

A lot of people seem to think it's good for smart kids to be thrown together with "normal" kids at this stage of their lives. Perhaps. But in at least some cases the reason the nerds don't fit in actually is that everyone else is crazy. I remember sitting in the audience at a "pep rally" at my high school, watching as the cheerleaders threw an effigy of an opposing player into the audience to be torn to pieces. I felt like an explorer witnessing some bizarre tribal ritual.
