It's monsoon season here at UW...currently it is completely POURING outside, sheets of rain I tell you and it's coming down fast. :) Reminds me of Singapore, how it would just be a waterfall for a couple minutes and then in a couple seconds it would completely stop. I don't understand how weather can do that. It's so sudden. What triggers such an outburst? Everyone knows you shouldn't bottle stuff up. If it was nice and warm, I'd be tempted to go out for a nice sprinkling....whoa, lightning and thunder to boot... wooo, we're doing good here :).

Yesterday I woke up and went to UPC at 8 AM and I saw Pricilla there and we chatted while we waited for our partners and our person to pick us up. It was one of UPC's Work Days where people sign up to work an entire 9 to 5 day and in return the person they work for donates at least $100 to UPC for the students who are going on mission trips all over the world. I did it for a girl in IV named Christine and she's going to Africa. It was interesting, we basically tore up this brick pattern in the backyard that was laid with morter earlier and dug a lot of dirt to make it level and we relaid the brick in a lower part of the lawn then we started making steps with flatrock and mortering that, also we carried the dirt we dug up across the lawn in buckets to make a little hill type thing for some of the plants so they stand out more. I wish I had my camera with me to take before and after pictures...it was really amazing how much we accomplished in one day. I'm sure you have no image of what exactly I did, but it was basically yardwork/landscaping. Had to carry a bunch of heavy things and while I'm not particularly sore today, my shoulders are kind of tight. Then after that I took a shower and Michael called and while I waited for him to drive over I visited Zach and Ben and watched an episode of some Metal anime thing which was interesting. Michael and I went to WorldWraps down at the UVillage and had food and it was good. Then we went to his apt and I hung out with him and his bro and got my ass kicked at Halo (but they said that I was pretty good so :)) and we watched this really stupid funny movie called Army of Darkness. Today Michael and I went for pho as brunch and then sat in the Quad eating our cookies and laughing at this girl who had this kitty that we thought she just stuffed in her purse but it ended up being a mini cat carrier. The kitty was really cute. And now I'm supposed to be editing my crappy paper. Grrr-ness. It needs sooooo much work and I am such a bad writer. I can't write anymore seriously. Nothing creative ever comes out, it's just completely boring sentences, I have no originality anymore. It's been such a long time since I've sweated out a sentence that after I wrote it, I read it and go "Damn that's good."
