Yeah, so I'd say blogging is definitely addicting. I can't concentrate on writing my dance paper. I NEED sleep. I have to stand and talk to strangers for two hours about research tomorrow...scary. Went to this lecture earlier tonight about religious terrorism and the whole symbolism behind violence and religion, whether it was intentional or not (the symbolism, not the violence and definitely not the religion...yeah dangling modifiers, I'm feeling ya Aimee). Anyway, I thought it was worthwhile, some good points, a few sly jabs at Bush, it was a typical nyrdie thing. Someday I'm going to write a poem using the words nyrdie & birdie. Won't that be something to look forward to :)?

I just voted! I think the main reason people don't vote is that they know so little about the candidates and I for one certainly have qualms against blindly voting for someone just because I got a flyer. I'd rather not vote at all if I don't have the time to vote for someone I think will do a good job. And suprisingly, I even happen to know four of the people running for various offices.

Being young is fun, but we're not crazy enough, however, most 'crazy' things happen to also be illegal, dangerous or a combination of the two with a splash of stupid.
Case-in-point, I was walking to Padelford and was going from Red Square to the Quad and this big brown UPS truck turns from Red Square and goes in front of me, and it's literally like right in front of my face so I jog a little and jump up on the back and ride it for a while. That was cool. I managed to jump off before it came to a complete stop and no one really said anything so I acted like nothing happened. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Arg...so tempted to skip ME lab, but it's actually pretty useful. I wouldn't know how to do anything in SolidWorks if it weren't for lab. It's also usually short so I have time to do homework or leave if I want.

There's SO much going on Saturday!
--Seattle Works Day
--Honors Croquet All-Campus Tournament(http://students.washington.edu/croquet)
--Rethinking "American" Conference (http://www.dialogueproject.org/rethinkingamerican)
--Ethnomusicology Concert

...But I'm going on my small group retreat to Battlegrounds to camp. Leaving immediately after the Undergraduate Research Symposium around 3:30. Hopefully it's nice and sunny.

Phew...just got done with the Blog rounds. It's been a while since I've kept up with a couple of them...which kind of reflects on how much I have contact with them period. I finally took a nap today after having a hot pocket and half a sandwich for lunch. It was a nap of decent length. I'm so glad the ME lecture exam is over. That was a stressful test. I ran out of time but answered everything so we'll see. I still have the homework to finish before midnight and work on moving the Comp Lit paper into its 2nd Draft phase. I need to vote today too. ROCK THE VOTE!

Hmmmmm...I'm not altogether sure I like this 'new design' of Blogger. Anyway, I always tend to blog when I have more pressing things to do so of course I have to keep that tradition going! I had a fun weekend, jam packed as usual. Saturday I went canoeing, and I got two yellow flowers, they're really cool. And I saw a heron I believe and got really close to a geese and also picked up some trash. Rowing is hard. It was so beautiful in this one part though, the water was beautiful, the sun was glinting just right, and we were just gliding along. It was a good day to be out on the water. Then at 6:30, Michael came by and we walked to Little Thai and had good food and then went to see the play SENSITIZE in this little theater in Capitol Hill. Crazie play. Had just about everything in it, homosexuality (come on, it's Capitol Hill...what can you expect?), murder, spousal abuse, sex, fights with the parents, pregnancy, affairs...yeah, I would have never understood the play if I hadn't read the play synopsis beforehand. Then we went for bubble tea at WOW and had our first ever serious conversation. This is noteworthy because of the fact that he is like the only person I know that constantly makes me laugh super hard. ;) I just hope my laughing isn't annoying. Sunday morning I went with Rachel to a Catholic church for Mass for Mother's Day because she felt like trying something new. It was interesting and I got a rose! It's a really nice rose too. The rest of Sunday was pretty much spent working super hard on my poster for the Undergrad Research Symposium which is this upcoming Friday. It's in MGH and I'm being forced to stand by my poster between the times of 12:00 -1:30 and 3:00 - 3:30 and answer questions so those would be good times to come visit me. There's snacks too. I also wrote a semi-5 page paper for my Comp Lit class which deals with The Simpsons and how in this one episode, Homer wears a pink shirt to work and is tossed in a mental institute because he was different. It's probably pretty interesting because I was half delusional while I was writing it. And once again I'm up late editing two of my peer's papers on The Simpsons. However, I did take a longish nap so I should be somewhat coherent for a while. I guess that wraps up everything that's happened so far! *sigh* back to homework.
