I am an Asian-American college student majoring in Technical Communications at the University of Washington. My Spring Quarter 05 Schedule: posTComm, TC 403, TC 407, ARCH 251, ESS 495.
All I need to do is find a PAID summer internship and I'm set!
I ask but one thing of you, only one,
That always you will be my dream of you;
That never shall I wake to find untrue
All this I have believed and rested on
Forever vanished, like a vision gone
Out into the night. Alas, how few
There are who strike in us a chord we knew
Existed, but so seldom heard its tone
We tremble at the half-forgotten sound.
The world is full of rude awakenings
And heaven-born castles shattered to the ground,
Yet still our human longing vainly clings
To a belief in beauty through all wrongs.
O stay your hand, and leave my heart its songs!
Okay. So before I start really working on my TC personal statement, I'm going to further 'relax' with a blog. Just finished blog surfing and I liked Steve and Christine's counting list thing, so I'm going to do that. Also, my back feels all tingly...yeah it seems somewhat burnt from boating today. It was fun though, great day with lots of breezes, played around in the sand and got lots and lots of sun. Got some good pictures of everyone too, but those will have to be later, when I'm done with applying for my major.

::ONE PERSON YOU COULD SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH::
Seeing as life is so uncertain, I would have to say that I could definitely spend the rest of my life with myself. I might not always understand myself, but I accept my weirdness.
So yeah, I've been thinking seriously about getting my hair streaked/highlighted blue and have been reading some posts about hair stuff and have still not come up with the answer to the question of "What's the difference between streaking and highlighting?" But I did read this interesting comment, some girl is a blonde but wants a temp color, either red or blue and someone commented
"REd RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED Red Please choose red blue is so punkrockish"
lol! Yeah, that's so awesome, blue is so punkrockish. And there's some definite truth behind it, and I think I do kind of want that. It's an edge, especially with the normal clothes that I wear.
In a recent e-mail, responding to a question about traveling:
"I was born in Shanghai, China, and I've been back there a few times, have been to SuZhou, a city near Shanghai, Bejing, Guilin, He Fei, Singapore, Malaysia, Switzerland, Italy, France, London, Canada of course, and the airports of Japan and Germany. Been to the East Coast, NY, Boston, Philadephia, Florida, lived in Chicago for a year, Wyoming for 9 years, seen the Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Niagra Falls, been to Las Vegas twice, and Cali, Oregon, Texas, Utah...yeah, I think that about sums it up. I want to go to Hong Kong and to some islands (Hawaii, Caribbeans, etc.), and also see the Taj Mahal."
It's really amazing how incredibly much I've experienced, yet I don't see myself as all that different because of it. I suppose I know a few tricks of the trade of traveling and don't forget items often and am a well prepared packer (meaning I usually pack too much, for those "just in case" situations). I still have yet to be completely on my own in a foreign country, the Europe trip was pretty close, Dan and I got a few days on our own in a few cities to do whatever, so did my Winter Mission trip, I was with nearly complete strangers who didn't speak a lick of Chinese and the most independent thing that I did was go to the library and this shopping center with Kelly...we didn't really know how to get there but the taxi and stuff knew. I used to be a lot more actually independent independent, maybe because I didn't have any friends that I was super tite with, or those friends weren't interested. It's always more fun to share it with someone though.

I've been so busy that I forgot to update my top ten! YES, I have actually started working out, pretty much every weekday, except maybe I'll skip a day, like Thursday or Friday. But that's certainly a lot of working out, usually for an hour and a half or so. It's pretty cool actually. I'm even enjoying the whole sweating thing, and feeling like I'm getting something accomplished. While I have yet to see actual results (seeing as it's only been a week), I'm feeling pretty good about it. It's definitely getting harder to find clothes to wear to work though...mostly because all my clothes are STILL all scattered around my room. Hey...I have an excuse, I'm trying to get my TC application done. I have about a week and a half, but since I have a mail it in, more like a week. Wooo, I still don't sleep enough...gotta go remedy that :)
