So I'm mulling over the fact that I got into a major that A) Fulfills all requirements for my NASA scholarship B) Seems to be the easiest Engineering degree C) Employs what seems to be my best skill--writing and finally D) Even after an entire quarter of straight writing (comp lit class + intro to TC and the quarter before having jewish lit) I'm not sick of it yet. Sure I get super frustrated sometimes but never to the point where I want to give up, I just feel sometimes like I'm slowly going insane when I'm painfully trying to eek out another couple sentences to round off a paragraph.

After falling apart, my life is coming back into pieces. I got adopted. I have a Family. Sadly I didn't really plan a congrats party, and no Josh, since I'm not at UW, no booze. ;)

Okay...so I have half an hour to type this blog before Zach calls me back ;P, he ditched me to eat ice cream with Ben. Speaking of ice cream though...I do have some popsicles that I bought a couple days ago that I haven't tried all the flavors to yet, and my brother's back from China and that means that popsicles will start disappearing at a rapid pace from here on out. *goes and gets a raspberry one* Yum.

Yeah, my bro and grandma got back safely from China today, and they brought me back some cool stuff, for instance, another ping-pong paddle which means now I need is another person and I can play whenever I want! 2 o'clock slam sessions will ensue! Zach, the chances of you getting your dream/wish of getting drunk and playing ping-pong is in sight :).

So, a brief recap of the last couple days are in order, first of all a belated Happy Birthday to David! I did tell him happy birthday on the actual day *as in the night of the 25th because of the time difference* but I neglected to blog it. I got him his own Mancala game, a book, and the GBA game 'Sword of Mana'.

I taught Zach how to play Mah Jong!! Amazingly, I found out last last Sunday from his mom that she owns a Mah Jong set! Obviously it's an Americanized version but it's pretty close to the original, however, the tiles are wooden. I know, weird. Hey...now that my brother's home, I could totally play Mah Jong at home! Tite! Anyway, he was a fast learner and since he can already recognize the characters from 1 to 10 *proud beam*, all he has to do is learn a few new ones and he's set.

Another fun thing of the weekend was that I got to hang out with Megan at the Allied Arts Sidewalk Show and wow, we bumped into people every couple minutes. First it was Zach's childhood buddy and her parents, then we bumped into Colleen, Jessica, Sergio Bueno, Jamey and Mr. Potter :) And I bought a wooden cube puzzle for my dad. He likes stuff like that. However when I gave it to him he was like...um...what's this? And I'm like oh! It's a puzzle! It's it cool? And he's like...oh, uh thanks.

Sunday was Brent's Luau, there was some good food and bumpin' musak :D And Diane made Darren take like ten pictures of me and her because each one had an imperfection. I'm pretty sure I look almost the same in most of them, I just have that camera smile. lol, it was so cool when Darren showed up though, he just got totally mobbed by Jessica, Christine Bian and Diane, it was hilarious, he had this "uh, hi, I'm here" look and everyone like freaks out.

I just want to say though, that it's SUPER cool that so many people read my blog and I feel bad that I don't blog more often :\ obviously I DO have stuff to blog about, unlike some people *cough* Zach *cough*, but I am just sorely limited by time. I work, work out, take a shower, eat, maybe read the newspaper or a Time mag and then basically talk to Zach until I'm tired and then I go to sleep. It's a pretty good system, but it just means that my room will stay eternally messy and unpacked and that the only time I get to read and stuff is at work.
